Port Elizabeth
Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium was also built specifically for the 2010 World Cup. It gave Port Elizabeth, and indeed Eastern Cape, its first ever purpose built football stadium.
The structure of the stadium is said to resemble a flower giving it the nick name The Sunflower. Others would argue it looks more like a merengue.
In a region lacking top national teams of rugby or football it looks set to be used for international games and music concerts...
