Bloemfontein
Free State Stadium was originally built for the 1995 Rugby World Cup. The stadium has hosted numerous major football and rugby union matches.
Traditionally an area (like most of South Africa) where rugby is preferred to football; the local team Bloemfontein Celtic is doing lots to change this. It was the venue where Spain took a surprise beating from USA in a memorable semi-final match of the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.

PSG, Montpellier maintain close race
4 Feb 2012 at 4:26pm
Wins for Ligue 1 title-challengers PSG & Montpellier mean the two-way race continues, as 3-1 and 1-0 wins respecitvely kept them both on track, while Valenciennes got their first away win of the season at Dijon.

Jussie's first-minute goal for Bordeaux set the hosts towards acomfortable 2-0 win over Toulouse, with Ludovic Obraniak netting before Moussa Sissoko was dismissed for the visitors.

Paris St Germain had to overcome going behind to Evian, but a Nene double and Gameiro's late nerve-settler were enough to cancel out Cedri Cambon's opener and keep their three point Ligue 1 lead intact.
